Job Title: Insurance Broker (Service & Retention)

Location: Cardiff Bay & Work from home 

Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm, 1 hour lunch

We are a Commercial Insurance Broker specialising in commercial property, buy to let portfolio and small package insurance solutions - with a unique distribution model, receiving referrals from IFAs and mortgage brokers. Based in the commercial heart of Cardiff Bay, we think progressively and embrace diversity. With a service focused strategy and considered folio of protection products, we are rapidly becoming the UK’s ‘go to’ commercial broker.

Position Overview

The role will focus on dealing with and advising businesses on their insurance needs and securing the most appropriate and competitive solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with an existing book of commercial clients in order to provide a smooth account handling service.

• Manage insurance queries.

• Produce and maintain accurate and complete documentation in a compliant manner.

• Respond to all queries in a timely, positive and professional manner.

• Suggest opportunities to help generate business within our existing book of clients.

• Renewal handling with proactive retention of the renewal book.

• Generation of new leads from cross sell opportunities.

• Provision of excellent customer service to our clients, intermediaries and other business partners.

• Liaising with the client to ensure we hold the right information about their business or home.

• Building relationships with our introducing Intermediaries.

• Securing lasting and productive relationships with our Insurers to ensure we can secure the best terms for our clients.

• Processing payments from clients.

• The role may also include other administrative tasks to support your team.

What we are looking for?

• Minimum 12 months Commercial Insurance experience.

• Acturis experience desirable.

• Positive attitude to Customer Service and fulfilling client needs.

• Organised and able to handle pressure easily, being able to prioritise workloads.

• Technical knowledge of Insurance Principles and relevant lines of business.

• Follow policies and procedures to ensure all quotations are provided compliantly and effectively.

• Driven.

• Target mindset.

• Organised.

• Enthusiastic.

• Able to work under pressure.

• Willing and able to learn quickly.

• Adaptive to change.

• High Level of ICT Skills.

• Confident.
